After I posted about the peaches growing in my front lawn, I got a lot of comments about how they may not make it to harvest. The number one concern was that in all the previous years the squirrels have gotten to them before they were ripe.

Not on my watch!

A quick internet search showed that moth balls work well and Gabi and I set some up by hanging them from old nylon from key branches.

We also scattered a few on the ground for good measure.

the results are promising, you can’t really smell anything until you’re under the tree, and if I were an animal I would want to stay well away.

you can judge for yourself how they’re doing, check out how big they’ve gotten
