Forget that the prequels are terrible movies, I’m not ranting about that. The originals are 30 years old and, although I think they should, I can see why they don’t want to make cartoons out of such old source material.

No, this is about something else that’s been bouncing around in my head for awhile and I think it’s about time I expressed it.

What the hell is the deal with Anakin Skywalker!?

Am I mistaken or is he a bad guy in the starwars universe?

Not counting the comics, novels, or video games – talking only about things aired in theaters or tv – including the holiday special – there have only been 6 things made of the original trilogy giving Luke Skywalker (the actual hero) only about 12 hours of story.

Meanwhile his less worthy dad has like 40 hours of story thanks to the prequels and clone wars stuff.

Isn’t this like making a prequel about Osama Bin Laden’s time as an Afghanistan freedom fighter and then staying in that point in time creating more and more adventures for the current generation of children to admire?

I know he’s a fictional character, but come on! He’s evil EVIL!

Why are we making action figures and cartoons about a killer of children?
