It’s been about a year and a half since I brought WackoMedia online.
I’ve been more then happy with the functionality of the site and have been spending any free time I have on making the backend just right.
Because of this the layout has always been lacking.
I got something good enough going for a while, but now it’s time to focus on the graphics a bit…
There, that’s much better.
The main reason I’ve been holding off on this site design is because I was waiting for wordpress to release a major update before I put a lot of work into it.
The update did a lot of cool things (like let me host multiples sites with one install) and it took a while for new themes to come out and really use it’s cool new powers.
I liked the old honeycomb background but this time I wanted something a little less blocky and said more about myself, but was also subtle enough not to get in the way of the posts.
I think I succeeded here because there’s a little bit of everything I do all in one picture. I especially like how the plaid pattern pokes through and how Wheldon and Cyrus complement each other.
The site isn’t just better looking either, the new layout has a lot of features on the frontend that were not there before (like date of post, name of author, and search archive by date) so feel free to take a look around and tell me what you think.
