With all of this focus on Spartans and Megacon I have neglected my studies just a bit. I was suppose to be in class on Saturday, but skipped it for the con.

My current project is a mandatory trans-demographic so I have to choose something for girls if I want to or not.  Since it was forced on me I’ve been procrastinating on it more then normal. I realy should have started it a week ago but put it off until tonight.

Luckily I do have a game plan. Here’s a sneak peak of what I’m working on.

The project is due on Saturday, and I expect to have it done by then. Oh, and don’t worry, what you see above is based on an existing fake magazine and won’t be on the screen long. I don’t think it’s good design or anything.

Speaking of school though, something has been bugging me and I want to share it with you. This months instructors wont let me excuse the convention as an industry event, and I want to call shenanigans on that!

Sure I wore costumes, but I also ran events all weekend AND I wrote reports on it, that should be more then enough. I have seen actual slackers get excused for doing less. It irks me that they said “sounds like you just want to have fun at a comic convention to me.”

I showcased audio and video presentations that I made myself in front of a live audence. I networked with people in the industry. I built technology used by thousands of people as advertisement for an event I get PAID for.

I went to an industry event, period.

I’m not in danger of failing or anything, it’s just the principal of the thing that’s got me ranting about it.  I take my game show hosting seriously, I came to this school to learn how to up my game in this field and I guess I just expect them to take it seriously too.

There’s nothing I can do about it, so I’m just going to let it go. I love this school and what it’s building me up for, this is just a minor insult that I wont hold against them.
