I went to see startrek, and it was good… until due to time travel they reboot the franchise

Next Generation, DS9, Voyager… none of that ever happened, the DVDs might as well be blank…

Oh, but Enterprise, that’s still cannon.

I knew they were going to do it, and I need to make it clear why I went to see my trek die even though the thought of it made me see red.

This is a picture taken at an amusement park before photoshop ever came out. That’s me and my buddy Elvin, and we love trek.

I’m not saying trek was a bad movie, just that I didn’t want to see the reboot, but you see Elvin didn’t think it was going to be like that so he pulled a Spock on me, and signed the enterprise up for peace talks with the Klingons without asking me.

Just like in Star Trek 6 he pulled in a favor for 17 years of taking my shit, and backing me up. When a person makes that kind of request you can’t say no.

so I went, and most of it was good, and then they did something that killed any chance of the rest of the series fitting in with it. So now, for the next 10 years, I’ll see kids growing up, loving captain Kirk, and knowing that this new history is how it will be.

Now I know how people felt after crisis on infinite earths.
