practical-lucidity-pt1

As you probably know (and if you don’t where have you been?) I’ve been working on my own scifi show.

It’s been almost a year since I’ve made progress, but I have a really good reason. I don’t want the effects to be CGI, I want to film models for real.

The most important being the Lucidity itself.

Lucidity-Small

I tried a few methods to making a ship, but my skills were just too lacking to make it work. Finally I found someone with maker space I could commission for a 3D print.

Lucidity Practical 06

This is the newest version of the model to be printed, it’s going to be somewhere around 2 feel long!

To make sure their plan would work they made a small rough print of the ship.

Lucidity Practical 04

This one was a tiny test to make sure all the parts fit together. After a little tweaking a new 6 inch model done.

Lucidity Practical 02

Oh yea, now we’re talking!

Once I have this at the size I need I’ll be able to rig and light it, then tap some of my amazing airbrush artis I know to help me paint.

All of that is in my skill set, so I should start showing progress quickly.
