Harry Potter Magic Photo Test Film

This is just a little fun with 3d layers and various after effects plugins. The fireplace, fire, and mantel are all real – recorded in my living room. The photo is a motion tracked composite of still images positioned in 3d space.

After seeing Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows part 1, Gabi and I were inspired to take a still image in costume. The pictures were taken on a green screen so I used AE and since I already had a nice comp why not animate it?

This was a fun, I might do another with video instead of still graphics in the future.
