When we went to the fair a while back the Conyers police had their police cars on the display. I think these are just about the best designs for a cop car I have ever seen so I wanted to share them with you guys.
Its so utilitarian, but also sleek in a way I think is just about perfect.
Do you guys agree? If you’ve seen better I’d love to know.
Definitely agree. Cop cars tend to be the worst designed vehicles around, I'm not sure why. But I love the solid black, only saying what department its with and the badge. They're nearly unmarked units without actually being unmarked.
I was thinking of you when I took these pics, I was hoping you’d agree.
It says everything about the police. It’s utilitarian, tough, strong, but subdued. It doesn’t have to advertise that it’s there and dangerous because it is.
This is the local county police, the state and Atlanta city are not nearly as nice. I wonder if I can find out who designed it.
haha, yeah, I figured I had to have been in the thought process somewhere in there.
But yeah, you said it perfectly, it has the right tone for a cop car, but its quiet. It seems like cop cars (especially state troopers for some reason) use these weird colors/designs that just make them stick out so much and you can see them from a mile away. The great thing about this is it looks good, and realistically, its functional as a way for them to hide in plain sight if someone isn't looking good enough.
