Devil May Cry HD

Guest Post by Gabi:

======

This right here is my glimmer of hope for this franchise. I’m a huge fan as you probably already know. Got the games, resin models, guns, made a costume, ect. I’ve even had the pleasure of escorting Dante and Vergil’s voice actors around a con.

When I heard Capcom was offering the fans an HD version I thought there was some kind of mercy after seeing what they are up to now.

The trailer for the original games in HD looked delicious and I was more than ready to pony up the cash on the April 3rd release date. (Early birthday present for me)

Peter thought I should pre order since we could and I am so glad I did. On Wednesday I got an automated call saying the game was ready for pick up March 29th. I called the local game stop and asked was it true and they responded in the affirmative.

When I dropped in later that day they were unsure and had to make a couple calls because they thought it was breaking the street date. Manager oked it and off I went.

And if you’ve never seen this costume here you go….

Now if you’ll excuse me, I have to go make a show of it.

Wacko Reviews Poster

When I uploaded the Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes episode to youtube earlier this week it was banned before it was watched by a single person, even myself.

Well I’m done with that so I took the dust off my old Blip account and found that it had a few new features, one of them was adding posters and banners to make your site look spiffy.

Doesn’t that look good? You should look at the entire site to see the whole presentation.

Anyway I now have these assets so I thought I would make a post about it and share them with you.

Feel free to grab these and put them all kinds of fun places, the more coverage I get the better!

I liked them enough I put the banner on my facebook page too.

Makes my show look all legit and stuff.

Regions Is Full Of Lies

I think recently most people will agree that major banks are full of crap, but it’s rare you can just point to something and go “that is a flat out lie”

I see these popup ads from time to time, note they say ANYTIME.

Well no, not on Sunday mornings, a time I find myself up and looking at my account once a month.

It’s bad enough they treated me like shit and charged me 15 bucks a month because I didn’t have direct deposit, but they lie on top of it and it irks the hell out of me.

I need a new bank, suggestions?

Listen While You Work

Man time can really get away from you, I’ve been at my new job for 7 weeks now! I’ve enjoyed the work but it takes a lot of my time so the site has been neglected once again.

Since I am animating flash videos I find the workflow is a lot like what I do at home and it’s easier to get things done if I can control the volume of my music and the movie file I’m working on separately.

To do that I’ve rigged up a little sound mixer and control for my phone.

It’s a Behringer 5 channel mixer. It’s a little over powered for what I’m using it for but only just.

In music production terms 5 channel means left and right of one source, left and right of another and microphone.

I don’t use the mic of course but I do use both sources at the same time and I have fine control over the balance and volume of each, allowing me to rock out while I work and have the animation only play lightly in one ear all while disturbing no one else.

And, If you look at the upper part you can see I’ve modded the input for the phone.

iPhone 3 and up allow in-line controls so I cut some cables and attached a Belkin controller to the rig.

Without ever activating the screen I can skip and pause the music or video that may be playing saving battery life and removing it from the work processing power.

It’s been great so far, I’m able to work as fast as I do at home, with minimal cost. Plus, if I ever do another live stream I can use this same device to better control the music and presentation.

Besides, touch screens are great and all but analog real knobs are always better when you’re doing repetitive tasks.

I know a lot of people are more interested in what I do rather then how I do it so I’ll try to make a demo of it soon, until then back to work!

Wacko hates monkeys, so imagine how excited he is to see Rise of the Planet of the Apes!

Spoiler: He’s not and he didn’t.
